A man in Somerset, England has captured a mysterious aerial phenomenon on camera.
Jeremy Le Fevre spotted the orange flashing lights above the remote country town of Frome, on Saturday 19 August.
“I had never seen anything like it before. It really caught my eye. It went on for quite some time before flying off into the distance towards Longleat,” said Frome.
“It was emitting green and red colours. It looked to me like it could have been fireworks attached to a drone. It’s still very much unidentified though,” he continued.
The sighting is not the only one to be reported in the area. Video footage was captured of another UFO over a nearby National Trust site in May 2017. This incident, a streak of bright light, was eventually explained as a stunt plane practicing in the area.
The area has been known as a hotspot for UFOs since the 1960s, when “Strange noises were heard in the skies above the town and an equally strange shimmering light was observed in the vicinity.”
Reporting of UFOs are believed to have increased in England and Scotland over the last decade, though it is highly likely that this increase is due new drone ethnology, rather than anything extra-terrestrial.
