A group of UFO experts have claimed that aliens may be observing nudist bathers, after unidentified flying orbs were spotted nearby.
Several glowing objects have been seen recently above Morfa Dyffryn, a Welsh beach famous for its naturist area.
These sightings were brought to the attention of US-based alien hunters at the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), who believe the beach may be the site of extra-terrestrial activity.
MUFON went on to post a notice in the area:
‘A number of unexplainable sightings have been reported in this area, day and night.
Strange lights, plasma balls and other apparitions have been reported.
These occurrences have been noted in areas out to sea, the beaches and within the sand dunes.
The public are encouraged to report any sightings or sounds and to take photographs which may be used in the scientific study of these events.’
Several witnesses have filed a report via the MUFON website. One such report describes ‘orb-like phenomena’ appearing in the sky, whilst another details ‘glowing rings, moving in a circle.
But local aerial photography expert, Andy Sale, was sceptical that these sightings were of alien origin.
‘I’d love to believe there really are UFOs. At least until someone comes up with an unequivocal explanation,’ he said.
‘That said, it could quite easily be drones or UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) being operated from the nearby airfield at Llanbedr, especially since it reopened a couple of years ago,’ he added.
These latest sightings follow news that a research project led by Stephen Hawking has detected signals from another galaxy, that could indicate intelligent life.
